A Day I Should Remember

It was a nothing day. No birthdays, or anniversaries, or anything earth-shattering to celebrate. Just a family out on a Sunday and it was a very nice day. A very enjoyable day. I need to remember these kind of days more often.

I declared to my husband early in the day that we needed a day out as a family, so we went. Lunch at the Spaghetti Factory, cupcakes from Heavenly Cupcakes on 6th and Island in Downtown San Diego, and then the Children’s Museum :

Days like these are the best! I think these simple moments are what we remember as a child.

We try to do this every weekend, rain or shine. We’re exhausted by the end of the day, to the point where we end up taking a nap in the car as soon as we pull in to our driveway, but it’s so worth the exhaustion. It’s how I like to spend my weekends these days.

Definitely a day to remember, looks like so much fun! Love the photo of Woody devouring that cupcake…haha!
